  • Finding peace may seem like an impossibility. You may be asking; how can one find peace in a world filled with so much pain and chaos?

While it’s true that life comes with lots of challenges which cause us to worry, God didn’t leave us helpless. And, He shows us through different verses in the Bible that having peace in chaos is possible.

And, we will be looking at some of the bible verses about peace in this article. But first, let’s find out what the bible says about peace in difficult times.

What Does The Bible Say About Peace In Difficult Times

Jesus Never promised us a chaotic free world. In John 16.33 He told His disciples, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

The above scripture explains that being a Christian does not guarantee a life of ease. Jesus made this clear ahead of time, so we can prepare our hearts for the troubles of the world.

James 1.2-4 is a great encouragement to everyone going through difficulties.

It says; Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

That being said, our peace as Christians should come from knowing that Jesus has already won the ultimate victory over the world and that nothing will change that.

So, whatever you’re dealing with, whether it’s a financial issue, relationship issue, uncertainty, or any other difficulty that makes you experience anxiety, the Good News is that you can find peace in God.

In John 14.27 Jesus promised His disciples that He would leave His peace with them. Despite how hard it might be to believe this, the Peace God gives is real and not a fairytale.

Reassuring yourself with Bible scriptures about peace will give you the calmness you need to carry on during difficult times.

So, the next time you find yourself struggling to find peace, meditate on verses that remind you of the peace God has given you.
