The Importance of Biblical Community
From the book of Genesis to Revelation, whether in family, tribe, country, and/or church level, the Bible consistently acknowledge and advocate for community structure and participation.
Why is this so?
We are created for connection.
Genesis 2:18 tells us that it wasn’t good for man to be alone. God created us as relational beings, hardwired for fellowship and belonging. That is why we must be wary of Individualism mindset gaining popularity in our day and also the isolation that comes from sin, guilt and lack of accountability.
We grow together.
As iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), being in a community of believers challenges us, encourages us, and helps us mature in our faith. See Romans 15:1-2.

We are stronger together.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us that two are better than one. In unity, we find strength, support, and the ability to overcome life’s challenges. Furthermore, we are able to achieve way more when we work collectively compared to a solo effort.
Stephen Covey, in his book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective people said this about Synergy;
The Whole is greater than the sum of its part.
We have a ministry to one another.
As members of the body of Christ, we are called to serve and support one another, using our gifts to build each other up (1 Corinthians 12:7). Emmanuel Iren, in Pray Book, urges readers — and anyone who wants to steward their devotional life of prayer — to utilize this provision in Christ.
So keep this in mind: During difficult seasons, you have a ministry to render to the brethren and there is a ministry from the brethren to receive.

God’s strategy for a Believer’s safety.
Source text: Hebrew 10:24-25, Romans 15:1-3; Galatians 6:1
As we have seen, the safety of the believer is in fellowship with the church. During the Paleolithic period, banishment from the group meant inevitable death. While those times are gone, there is still a pressing need for personal safety and preservation in the faith. This is a need every prototype local assembly or church ought to offer in various forms and through different structures.
Do we still have Churches and Christian Communities that would defend and protect the interest of The Faithful at all cost?

Acts 2:42-47
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.
