Do you wonder what to pray about sometimes?
Are there times you feel like there is more you could pray about?
You are not alone.
It is a common assumption that matured Christians always know what to pray about. But that isn’t always the case and it is okay. In times such as this, we need an external reminder on what to pray for so that we pray, and also pray intentionally.
The aim of this blog article is to provide a list of prayer points around discipleship so that maturing Christians, ministers and all laborers in God’s vineyard pray about certain aspects of the good works they were saved to do (Ephesians 2:10).
Answering the Call to Prayer.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much — James 5:16.
“Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” —Jeremiah 33:3

Prayer is an invitation to a deep and intimate conversation with our Creator. It is a time to pour out our hearts, express our gratitude, and present our requests before God. It is also time to settle spiritual matters in the Spirit and by the Spirit. A time to press into God, to lean on him and receive the grace we need the most per time.
As we engage in prayer, we align ourselves with God’s will. As we do, we open the doors of our life to His divine intervention and transformation in personal, ministerial, career, and every other aspect of our lives.

A Gratitude Prayer for God’s Call to share the Gospel.
Heavenly Father, I come before you with a heart full of gratitude. Thank you for the privilege to be called Your son and for the incredible access we have through Jesus Christ, our high priest, who intercedes for us.
In 1 Corinthians 5:17 , we see your charge to us to carry the message of reconciliation to all peoples. By so doing, You have made me an ambassador of the Kingdom of Heaven and an envoy of Christ. Hallelujah!! Grant me, by your spirit the ability to stand firm and witness for Christ with boldness especially in these dark ages.
Your word in 1 Peter 3:15 instructs us on how to preach the Gospel. It says “do this with gentleness and respect.” So, I pray specifically for wisdom and grace to handle faith arguments gracefully when they arise, Father.
My goal should not be to win an argument but to gently guide others towards the truth of your word. Help me to choose my words and approach with grace and love.
A Prayer for God’s Kingdom.
Heavenly Father,
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Today, I lift up your kingdom and pray for your rule and reign to be established in the hearts and minds of people all across the globe. I pray for a great awakening and a harvest of souls, that many would come to know you and experience the transforming power of your love.
Your kingdom is not of this world (John 18:36), and I pray that we, your children, would reflect your heavenly nature in our lives on a daily basis. Let your light shine through us, that others may see our good works and glorify you, our Father in heaven(Matthew 5:16).
Teach me to be an ambassador of your kingdom. I extend grace, mercy, and truth to a lost and broken world. Reveal to me the beauty of your kingdom and help me to live by its values and principles forever and ever.
A Prayer for Kingdom Values
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” —Matthew 6:33
Teach us to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness (Matthew 6:33), knowing that all our needs will be provided for. May your kingdom be a present reality in our homes, communities, and nations, bringing peace, joy, and hope to all.
As the body of Christ, we remain a shining example of your love and unity in a fragmented world.
May we be consumed with the value of God’s kingdom far above any other earthly thing —material or immaterial.
In the midst of a world filled with darkness and uncertainty, shine the light of your kingdom. Uproot injustice, heal division, and bring forth your justice and righteousness. May your kingdom be a refuge for the oppressed and a source of hope for the downtrodden.
I declare;
I am a conduit of light in darkness, hope in despair, love amongst hatred. I am a blessing to those around me.
A Prayer for Kingdom Impact
May your kingdom grow and expand through our lives, our actions, and our words. Use us to build your kingdom here on earth, that others may encounter your love, grace, and truth. Empower us to share the good news of your kingdom and to make disciples of all nations, just as you have commanded.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” —Matthew 28:19-20
We surrender our lives to you, King of kings and Lord of lords. Use us for your glory and let your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
A prayer for the Prevalence of the Gospel
I insist relentlessly that the Gospel about Jesus Christ would prevail and reach the ends of the earth. The gospel gains more ground and experiences free course through every nook and crannies of this world. I declare, that this good news reigns supreme in every town, city, village, country, and continent of the world.
Give me the boldness to share the good news with those around me. Help me to speak with love, clarity, and courage. May your Spirit go before me and prepare the hearts of those who will hear, that they may receive the seed of your word and bear fruit.
Protect your church as it proclaims the gospel. Shield us from the enemy’s schemes and grant us unity and strength. May your message of salvation resonate with those who are seeking truth and give them a hunger to know you more.

A Declaration of Gratitude and Commitment to the Spiritual Progress.
Father, I stand in awe of your sacrifice. Christ died for me, and I will not take your grace for granted. I surrender my life to you, and I pray that your Spirit’s work in me will be evident in my behavior and character. Just as 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” I pray that the evidence of your Spirit’s work in a true believer will be seen in my life.
A Prayer for Success in Divine Endeavors
I also bring before you, God, the plans and endeavors you have laid on my heart, specifically [mention Aassignment or project]]. I declare that all things will work together for good, as Romans 8:28 promises. I will do my part, but ultimately, I trust that you will establish the steps, as Proverbs 16:9 says, “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
So, I pray for wisdom, grace, power, and resources to bring this vision to pass. I declare that I am thoroughly furnished to do of your good pleasure. May all the glory, praise, and adoration be ascribed to you, Lord.
A Prayer of Complete Submission
Father, I submit every area of my life to the influence of your Holy Spirit.
No aspect of my life is far away from your reach. Not one aspect is too sensitive or “precious” for you to touch.
Your word in Psalm 139:23-24 says, “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.” In that light, I invite you to expose any part of my life that I have kept from your reach. I want your light to shine through me, transforming every dark corner of my heart. Teach me your ways and bring me to complete submission to your will. Clear my objections and then Grant me the humility to recognize and repent of any shortcomings.
A Prayer for Humility and Repentance
Keep me humble, Lord.
I know how easy it is for me to grow proud and forget you as my capacity enlarges.
Help me to never become too big to kneel before you, regardless of my status.
Give me the courage to recognize my mistakes and the humility to repent and correct them. May I always be mindful of your presence and your call to holiness,
As your child, I uphold holiness in my life because You are holy. (1 Peter 1:16)
A Prayer for an Intentional Spiritual Walk
Finally, I consciously choose to draw near to you, God. Fill me with your presence and guide my path. May my life be focused on serving you and walking in your ways, not veering to the right or the left.
I see the importance of the spirtual activitied in expressing man’s need for God. I make out time for spiritual for spiritual growth.
I choose to know you. Knowing you personally is heaven on earth. My resources (time, energy, and money) would lead me closer to you, not farther away. So I utilize them wisely as the good steward you have called to be.
A Prayer for Divine Leading
Isaiah 30:21 says, “And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.”
Heavenly Father, teach me know your voice so that I may be able to tell apart your voice from the voice of the enemy, the world or even that of myself. I grow in spiritual discernment. I have ears that hear and eyes that see in the Holy ghost. I am not spiritual dull rather I am spiritual sensitive the leading of God. I hear and respond accordingly. Lead and I will follow Lord.
Thank you, Father, for hearing my prayers. I trust that you are working in and through me for your glory. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
